Pretty cool.

Wow. I’d think that a car with a slot for a hot air balloon would be expensive.

BMW used a couple viscous couplings (center and rear) on the old iX’s (at least e30's). I’m at a loss, can only remember that they leased used of the system from another company who had invented it. And I’m saying that wrong, but I think that you can extrapolate what is really meant.

“title issue”=nonissue. Sounds like the bank has the title. If I were buying a CL vehicle for more than $5k I’d want to do the transaction in a safe place anyway, this gives you a nice excuse to do it at a bank without having to go through the back and forth, trying to hint to the other party that you don’t want to

Earl Scheib painted a Cherokee of mine once.

Sweet third gen (mkiii for anyone who wants to pick nits).

Fixed it for ya’

Wonder if he’d just sell the parts car?

Um....I’m not recommending that you blame anyone for anything. Just pointing out how things work out here.

Non-issue in CO.

Wow. NP!

I seem to vaguely recall my driving school instructor telling us something along the lines of “when at a red light, always keep a cars length in free in front of you incase someone tries to attack. If you don’t have room to escape confrontation then drive over curbs, push the obstacle in front of or behind you out of

I’ve owned more ‘80's American emission nightmares than I want to count. I don’t know if you mean that no one you know has had problems with the equipment as a component of the car, or the oversight agencies (epa/dmv/mvd/etc). If everything is kept stock, you shouldn’t have many problems (until rubber hoses start to

And full of poorly engineered and executed early gen emissions crap that strangle the engines.

um....180..?

You don’t have to tell me, I learned to drive in my mom’s ‘88 325ix. First one sold in the country, incidentally.

I’m not arguing with you at all, but I will point out that the car has a blower. Blowers generate more heat on their own, and some engines with blowers have a tendency to run hotter than their n/a counterparts. Maybe the hood is on to help evacuate some of the excess heat generated. I honestly don’t care enough

Not being pedantic; pointing out that this visual mod, while you may not like it, was designed and built by this cars manufacturer. For this vehicle. For heat dissipation reasons (which I might wager could be a problem with that blower).

I beg to differ.
