As someone who has always had a real soft spot for these cars, I’m glad that you’re saving this one from the inevitable scrap heap.

This is a great deal. Offer the guy $1500, expect to pay $2k, and sell that spare engine for $500 (maybe more). Save it for a winter project, or waste the next month of summer, and have a fun, great looking Corrado.

I know whatcha mean, I’ve had a couple first gens and a 91 pickup all with 22re’s. I used to love those 4 bangers, but have since moved onto a t100 w/the 5vz. It’s still slow.

These little issues will get sorted out. The real problem, with the Tesla is distance. If I want to drive from my hometown (Crested Butte, CO) to the town in which my folks live (Albuquerque, NM) via the quickest route I can’t. It’s a ~350 mi drive with no charging stations along the way. I guess that I could go…
