I had the same question..the part looks hollow, but that hole in the end makes you think that it would take on water, making it sink. As such, I started to read through the responses to your question, a couple were useful, the rest made me fear for the future.

A lot of readers seem to have a problem with this. I, for one, do not.

Arai for the win.

Pearl Pass is a cakewalk, only one really sketchy part, and it’s only bad if it’s raining or real wet. Had a summer I’d drive that road for fun every other weekend or so.

Oh yea for Schofield Pass, haven’t done it yet this year, hear that there was a massive rockslide that took out the road (is that picture from this summer?) Last year there was a Land Rover down in the river.

a) It’s not part of an off road park, it’s a forest service road.

Torque isn’t a necessity, proper gearing can help you cheat.

J&B Body works should keep the car.

Dang-o, learn something new everyday. I was too lazy to look up a year, just assumed it was a generation before the Supra nameplate was added to the Celica.

Awesome, I love those.

The race was cancelled for unforeseen circumstances....in other words, don’t ever take selfies on the course.

I’ve got friends (hell, even my previous boss) who use their “status symbol” trucks for work. And they are status symbol trucks, bro dozers some may say. You can always tell when people use their expensive trucks for work because the tailgate gets smashed.

As much time as it takes...But seriously, if you do a setup right (sequential turbos?!), your lag could be negligible when compared to factory ‘90s Japanese cars. Oh ya, and antilag.

It’s absolutely doable. Wilwood makes specific parts to do it. Not conventional, but sometimes necessary. People who build slammed Toyota mini trucks do it all the time.

Nice Price. It may take a couple days to figure out where and how to mount a power brake booster, but come on people, everything’s doable. This time, at this price, I’m going to say forget the salvage title, ignore that it’s anothers project, and have some fun.

Why not remote turbo? Quick google search gave many ideas other than the standard mount at the end of the exhaust system.

That is exactly what I needed today. Thanks.

Totally legit:

Ha! Thanks for the kind words, bud. I put the euro spec red/white/blue “Fireblade” bodywork, so it has the dual rounds once again (was “fox-eye” style when I bought it). Love some old round headlights.

I’ll try to keep this short:
