Agreed on that first part.

I didn't have a problem with the online-only component until I got disconnected in the middle of the fight with the Skeleton King. With 25% health left. Then I got mad. Real, real mad.

Now playing

I enjoy how even the guy playing this video had to use a Game Genie to finish the damn thing.

The power of KUBoobs will lift Kansas from its current funk. I can't abide a Kentucky victory, being an IU fan and all.

It really is the music that helps make those scenes, too. Looking back at the actual cinematic, it's kind of laughable—but then the battle with Jenova Life starts and the music doesn't change for the boss fight. And all of a sudden you say, "Fuck, why am I crying?" And your girlfriend laughs at you.

I love the outtakes/documentary from either of the Lunar PS1 games where they joke around about trying to make him cough during a death scene, and he ends up drinking like a gallon of milk and almost throws up.

Picked up SWTOR last night at Best Buy, and after some issues with the disc (read: not letting me load setup AT ALL), I just decided to use my game's code and download it instead. Booted it up this morning and, of course, what I feared might happen would:

One particular thing I enjoyed about GamePro were the strategy guides they released as standalone issues. For example, Peter Olafson's Final fantasy III guide was extremely well-written. It wasn't a comprehensive treatment of the game by any means—the Nintendo Power guide was quite a bit more detailed—but the way it

Exactly. My store opened up at midnight on Thursday, and I worked the overnight. Then I went home and slept for awhile before I went out to Nebraska Furniture Mart to buy a mattress. By the time I hit Best Buy at like, 6:30 p.m., there were still a ton of copies left.

I'm checking out the Steam sale, and even though I still have a lot of Skyrim to go through, just picked up Assassin's Creed Revelations at Best Buy, I'm so tempted to grab Fallout 3 again and Oblivion for the first time. I've never played the latter though, and I'm worried that after how much I'm enjoying Skyrim,

The last Bethesda game I picked up was Fallout 3 on the Xbox 360, and I never had any issues with it.

Question, gang.

I'm working from 11p Thursday night to 11a Friday morning, but I'm probably going to swing by my local Best Buy afterwards to see if their cheap copies of Assassins Creed are still around. Otherwise, there's nothing I really want or need this time around.

It's not exactly a musical tour de force, but I consistently love listening to Incubus' "Make Yourself." Stellar and I Miss You are two of my favorite songs from that time in my life.

Honestly? My wildest ambition is to write for a publication like Kotaku or even Esquire. I used to write for a small entertainment magazine in college, but when I moved away I ended up not finding any sort of work for a few months, which is what took me to my current company—I worked for them when I was in school, and

Lately I've been a little irritated, and this article certainly didn't help any.

Whaaaaaaat? I'm a transplant from Indiana, and I think the BBQ is amazing. Especially OK Joe's. It's magic. In my mouth.

Do some research behind how St. Jude got started. It's seriously a pretty cool story, and more importantly, they've affected a lot of people in some pretty amazing ways.

Did you feel as cheated as I do when I see the ending?

Captain Skyhawk for the NES. The game is only fun when you play with a Game Genie and therefore can't die.
