I manage to do this without making my car ugly.  Funny concept but I just hold on to the door and pay attention to what I am doing when opening it.  If my 7 year old can do it everybody can.

What does it matter? In my house cars are debadged as soon as they get home.

I don’t have all the info. But to me a damaged (and glued back together) clamshell could be a safety concern as well. I presume that part of the clamshell’s function is to protect the cells.

The batteries supposedly were not punctured. The plastic “clamshell" surrounding the pack of batteries was supposedly damaged.
