Yeah, I think that’s the point (though she doesn’t say it explicitly) - that they’re trying to recapture the experience of watching a show over a longer period of time, while keeping to the streaming/bingeing business model somewhat.

For what it’s worth coming from an internet stranger, I highly recommend starting with the first Mistborn book. It’s still my favourite of his novels, and imo one of the most accessible (not that most of his books are inaccessible, but they do contain occasional references to each other).

This is good advice, but god, I’m so tired of living in fear. 

The narrator could, in-canon, be putting on a thick telenovela accent to better fit the part.

One thing that gives me hope for season 3 is that the source material of the third quarter of the book lends itself to a season-long arc better than the Cairo stuff did.

It might have even worked better if they’d shown the Fake News spreading on social media, but that would be harder to depict cinematically.

I knew it was fake (otherwise it wouldn’t be on the official YouTube) but I was expecting the gag to be an HBO hit squad coming out and doing a Red Wedding on the audience. This was just... kind of upsetting to watch. She’s a good actor.
