Who collects magazines? I mean, even if it's a low price, why subscribe to a disposable periodical on a tablet? Seems like overkill. Books, I understand because you want to keep them but who re-reads a magazine?

I bought 2. One I'm keeping for myself and the other I'm giving as a gift on Xmas. I had to try it out first to make sure my Dad would be able to use it. I too prefer real books but I like the Kindle a lot. I'm slowly believing in e-readers.
