"Early in the marriage, Ms. Mower became pregnant and lost the baby."

Seeing so much suffering and bodily turmoil euphemised down to this sentence is revolting.

Some CAULK you say? I Just need to pull out my caulk, and wipe it around the gutter drain? Sure thing, just let me grab my caulk! I'll be right back, caulk in hand.

It took me a second to catch on because I don't usually expect subtlety on jezebel.

Stigmatizing gay students does not make them work harder. It makes them obsessed with maintaining their self-worth.

That is really sad. I try to remember all the amazing things my body does for me that I take for granted when I'm feeling down about my thinning hair.

The phrasing "Mirrors are unreliable narrators" is tongue in cheek. A mirror is obviously not a narrator because it is not alive and has no subjectivity. The implication is that a mirror is seen as the most accurate way to view oneself from an external perspective, but even still the image is being filtered through

Thank you.

I vehemently disagree. I want a mirror that creates as accurate a reflection as possible. I don't want to compensate for poor body image by catering to it, I want to eradicate it by engaging with it and examining its sources of power. You can lead a horse to water

Yes. You are wrong.

My point just flew right over your head didn't it?

In the pictures on the right they are wearing makeup.

Makeup like this looks good in pictures. That's why everyone does makeup for TV. In real life though, it mostly just looks like someone is wearing makeup. Men don't want to wear tinted moisturizer because it's totally impractical:

More people with the idea that there are ways to exercise other than exercising. Sitting on an exercise ball doesn't FORCE you to engage your core and improve your posture and activate your legs muscles. It just makes it easier to do those things if you wish to.

Duh.

NO no no no no no no no.

You do not prevent children from manifesting gender. You just need to tell them the truth about it that's all.

I certainly don't care about this at all.
