I marched in Washington DC in ‘92. There were HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF WOMEN (and men) and all the news reports deliberately underestimated the numbers and downplayed the whole thing. Prepare for the bullshit deflection/minimalization defense.

Everything is hammered. Metro parking lots are full, trains are full, and the organizers are saying may be close to 500,000 protesters. The permit was for 200K, but the real pushback will be from the overloaded roads and transit systems.

If I’d known the Mall was gonna be so empty maybe I’d have planned another trip to the Smithsonian.

We’d do much better connecting with each other first. If the election showed anything, it’s that a lot of parts of the coalition don’t really know the other parts, let alone what those other parts are doing. WE are the majority, we just need to start acting like it.
