I think he's just illustrating a point. I always tell people to buy used. Figure it more like this: a three year old Camry can be had for about the same price as a new Yaris... but is actually a nice (boring) car! (Where as the Yaris is like a laxative.... it makes you go, and your happy when it's over.)
