Exactly.  Unfortunately, current dating heavily emphasizes physical appearance.  This is less of a problem for women as most women are physically attractive enough to attract men.  For many, if not most men, their physical appearances are decidedly not assets. 

I was excited to see this book reviewed in the New York Times, and I was surprised when Jezebel didn’t immediately cover it. I am in the middle of it on audible right now. I guess I should have realized that Jezebel writers also need time to read a book before addressing it on this site.
