Is being on a major label the definition of “selling out”?  Can you be on a major label and not be a sellout?  Would you call Tragic Kingdom a sellout album?

oh, yeah.  I meant mid 1980s.

I am not a New Yorker, but I see no reason to make a special trip to Times Square.  If a visitor was there and didn’t realize it was a famous place, I wonder if he or she would think, “Hmmm, I wonder if this place is famous.” 

It seems to me that you have felt pressure to be masculine. You are or at least were interested in dating women and having relationships. As a man, it is up to you to approach women, and get them to like you. You have attempted this, but almost always fail, so you stopped trying.

Right, I feel the same way.  And saying “Men’s tender feelings” seems dismissive of men’s feelings, which is exactly why books like this are needed.

Yeah, that would be better.  But I don’t have experience on boats.  I was considering joining the Merchant Marine, but decided against it. 

I happen to know quite a lot about joining the Merchant Marine. Would instructions on that be a good writing sample?

The article or the miniseries? 

In Halston, he has a highly affected speech, and the character gets called out on it.  I think in Halston, McGregor sounded very much like Rami Malek’s Freddie Mercury, but less British.
