I feel like they signed those waivers under the assumption that the venue was providing a safe environment that was up to basic safety standards. From my understanding, foam pits used in gymnastics or similar venues need a minimum of 4' and a padded floor mat under it.

Every conversation I’ve ever had with a lawyer about those waivers is that they’re basically worthless if you have a lawyer who’s at least minimally competent.
