A lot of players like a sense of progression. It also helps build up their skills better. Five people with ten hours under their belt playing Midnight Club: Los Angeles are going to be on much more level ground than five people with ten hours under their belt playing Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Simply because

People pop off this hard all the time at gaming tournaments, and this is the only time I’ve ever heard of someone dislocating their shoulder from it.

Likewise “proper” athletes get injured in ridiculous ways all the time though. Didn’t a tennis player get injured tripping, on his way to doing those mandatory interviews

I will note, however, that one of the results of that?

He has a right to those opinions and to not be jailed for them as a protection granted under the First Amendment.

Seriously, the whole “nb4” bullshit signaling in the comments of every article like this is just obnoxious.

Unbelievable.. Seriously, he should not have stepped down and nobody should give a shit what 1 other person says.. he wasn’t speaking for the company so who gives a shit what the opinion of 1 guy is... The whole cancel culture/ ruin someone’s life bullshit needs to stop....

So I guess when Tripwire has the town hall to allow all their employees to voice their opinions and be inclusive, they only really want to hear from you if you share the exact same opinion as them....

“Sounding suspicious as hell”, “not trusting banks”, and “raising red flags for random internet commentators” is not, as far as I’m aware, any legal test for the seizure of assets.

That gets him canceled? Jesus. Really? What ever happened to just saying, “Dude, that was a dick comment. Say sorry and don’t say that shit anymore.”

It also amazes me that people are that shitty. Returning a game you beat and enjoyed sucks. I know you have to have systems in place to prevent that kind of abuse, but I wish people were just cool about it.

Clicks, baby

In other words, they seem to miss the point.”

Does he deserve the ban, Absolutely. Do users of Twitch deserve to know WHY he was banned, Absolutely (unless the reason is something legally compromising, i.e. would hinder an active lawsuit or police action against).

Like hearing that a celebrity you don’t care about has died, it’s impossible not to want to know why game streamer Dr Disrespect was banned from Twitch.

Because we are talking about kids, and kids should totally sleep between 12AM and 6AM.

I don’t condone it, but understand the why.

No opinion on whether it’s up to the government or the parents to forbid kids to play at night. But I remember that, 10 years ago, some of the youngest StarCraft 2 Korean players like Life were unable to compete in tournaments after midnight, and IIRC they had to create special rules to take this law into account.

I work in a lab and there are coworkers who are afraid to say they don’t know how to do something and just try on their own and they always ALWAYS fuck it up. I would 100% prefer if someone can own up to not know how to do something so I can walk them through it or refresh their memory.

Wait, so is Ed not a part of this adaptation?

Fuck you Kinja. So if someone replies to your post but they are in the greys, it seems like there is literally NO way to view or reply to that comment? I know the notification links have BEEN broken, but I get a notification that a greyed commenter replied to me, I can read half their comment in my notifications, but
