My grandfather actually died at the beginning of this 2016 after a long battle with Parkinson’s and dementia. He made that Nazi comment back in 2014 and was mainly referring to Ted Cruz and the Tea Parties. He had been warning us about neo-Nazi’s and fascism way way back in 2009 when the Obama Birther Truther movement

Nah, Trumps got that all sowed up. Putin’s a close second though.

So the Montana government is gonna step in right? Like there gonna call for some people to investigate into this blatant call for violence? Or, at the very least, the Whitefish police will reach out to the Jewish community and let them know they are with them? Cause if none of that happens then we just need to pack up

“How many times do I have to fight goddamn Nazi’s.”

What do you wan’t from the guy. Do you wan’t him to call Trump a racist or a fascist? Cause that’s not gonna do nothing. Trump supporters will just use it to fuel their persecution complex, republicans will just ignore Obama like they have been for the past eight years, and liberals will pat themselves on the back do

What is with this family and terrible shot form?

you’ve musta had a hell of a year

If you told me seven years ago that Kesha would go on to be a positive role model and a outspoken activist I would think you were outta your goddamn mind, but here we are.

At my elementary school we wen’t down to the center for the homeless once a week to volunteer. Learned more about life, economic inequality, and the failure of our social safety nets than any book could teach me. It was probably the most valuable experience I had in school.

One of my friends in high school ended up transferring because he was bulled for being a Muslim. But he wasn’t actually a Muslim, he was a Sikh. But the bullies couldn’t be bother to learn the difference.

hood pope no :(

he’s still a pope. Were grading on a steep curve here.

Well there ya go. Plus he’s got that “man of the people” vibe going for him that other popes don’t.

HOOSIER GANG WE OUT HERE. But in all seriousness there is a general low level anxiety you get living round here. Growing up there was a neo-nazi/milita group that was pretty popular around town. Right now a house down the street just had the confederate flag painted on their garage door, and I live in Bloomington now.

you’re right internet stranger, I don’t know my value as a black person. Teach me you’re ways!

you’re right. I’ve been passive for too long. But I’m still at a loss for whats the right approach to actual get some results. Because, just in my personal experience, accusing a person of being a racist or saying something racist never works. Even if they are being horribly blatantly racist, all that happens is they

But conversation is the point. If were gonna make real change we have to change peoples minds. Now I’m not trying to make Klansman drop the hood to go protest housing discrimination. But how am I gonna get the white kid who grew up in the suburbs, and never had a black friend, to understand what being black in America

As a black man living in Indiana I’ve been trying to figure out how to strike the balance between loving and active. How do I call out people for their racist/sexist/homophobic/anti-semetic beliefs without shutting down any and all conversation? Because if you’re too aggressive people just get upset and ignore you,

People confuse the appearance of class with actual class. It why people subscribe to the New York Times just to leave it on the coffee table.
