I want to know why it isn’t offered with a Manual Transmission...

I fully support this! However, the countries & cities where motorcycles work so well have much shorter average commutes than we do in the US...

I worked with/for a guy that did odd jobs and had a 1974 Scottsdale, Std Cab Long Bed, 4-Spd Manual Transmission (with creeper). I drove that before any of my family vehicles before I was old enough to drive ! :-)

A buddy of mine has a R75/5.... Anvil technology piece of kit, that.... I rode it up and down the hills of Potrero Hill.... A real piece of history ! It had the ‘Boxer Shaft-Drive kick’... So did my other buddy’s R90.... Funky bikes.... The modern R1200 are as refined as you can imagine...

I never noticed ‘the kick’ on the R1200RT. I think they figured that out long ago. Late model motorcycle buyers unloading $25,000 on a new bike wouldn’t put up with that...

Sick roads indeed... I knew of them from my days at Chrysler doing vehicle testing.

Can’t sell it.. Probably the last thing I’d sell.... It is worth more to me than to anyone that would buy it.

I have been looking for something more comfortable for two-up riding as well. My gal does like to ride with me, but the VFR is not what you might classify as ‘comfortable’ for a passenger.

Why isn’t there more of this ‘TwoWheelsGood’ on Jalopnik ? We are a devoted bunch... If I had more time, I would write more to contribute... I am sure others would too. We just need a band (gang?) leader...

So..... Do you still have the VFR ?
