I would have checked out after this ‘crash’...

Yup. Had the Ballast Point Sculpin. Great stuff. Dogfish is real good and the plant tour is amazing. However, they are a bit arrogant about their product, as their pricing (even locally!) indicates.

These two chicks need to take a ride up around the corner to Dogfish Head Brewery, and chill the F _ _ K out.

Those were the days !!! The BR/BE platform was great.

I can’t say positively, but it wouldn’t be unusual for them to patent it.

There is a two step version as well, but it could still be a challenge depending on your capabilities...

I know all about the SuperCab configurations available. Bottom line: not interested. I was more than happy to give up 1.5' of bed to gain two proper doors and interior space.

There are a few aftermarket options for tailgate steps, but none of them as nice as the Ford step. I wonder how much fan work would be necessary to ge. A Ford tailgate to fit a Chevy or RAM...

Having the tailgate up is a nice sense of security.

Yeah? What year? Engine? Sounds like a sweet work truck! I would love a gas V8 Manual SuperCrew Long bed from any of the big three...

You’ll have to wait until the patents expire on both... Maybe not even then.

I needed the SuperCrew and if they sold an 8' bed on the SuperCrew F150, I would have bought it even though it would probably have a 170" wheelbase.

If you are carrying something up into the bed of the truck, the tailgate step is pretty handy. I rarely use the handle... Some day I might need it. ;-)

Too bad they gave you a Limited with only a 5.5' box. That quad might have almost fit in the 6.5' box.

You are probably right - that is what the XL and XLT trim level trucks are for. How many supercars see the track? How many Jeeps go off road? People buy vehicles because they _could_ go do that awesome stuff, not because they will.

The motorcycle industry has gone thru a similar, if not more extreme, evolution over the past 30 years.

That’s not the only botched maneuver during this ‘airshow’. I watched a little more of that footage and almost every takeoff and landing is a little skittish... Heck, they deployed the thrust reversers _before_ toughing down @ 5:43...Bonkers how little stick time these pilots must get...

Great story and photos... Not enough stars can be awarded ....

That’s my exact reaction looking at the new civic. To each their own.

Funny... I just sold an SRT-4 ACR with 130K+ miles on it. It was in exceptional mechanical condition and still ran like a raped ape. The secret to keeping a performance car for a long period of time is proper maintenance and TLC. You can’t expect to beat on a performance car for 10+ years and not do some basic
