The part that got me though was how mom is scary when she’s mad. Made me think there’s some other shit going on there that isn’t really being addressed?

I got too high with a friend way back in high school (yes, a living cliche) and it was one of the most terrifying things that’s ever happened to me. Because at the time nobody around me knew this was a thing, there was nobody to reassure me that this was a totally predictable outcome of smoking too much weed when…
Read the thread with everyone talking about getting too high. It’s real and it’s terrifying. Happened to me (literally in high school) and it took me decades to really get over it.
The horses...
That sack of fetid orange jello doesn’t have a clue that Puerto Rico has anything to do with him as President, with the United States, or with...well, humanity. Not that he gives a turd about humanity.
I decided to get myself out of myself and try to prevent my regular weekend despair spiral, and took a pottery class. Two pots worked, and two went floop all of a sudden, which made me laugh. It was nice, simple fun that didn’t cost a lot. Then I came home and watched The BFG.
No advice here about couples therapy, but kudos to you for all that mental and emotional work you’re doing to take care of you. I know what you mean about that exhaustion, I’ve felt that. You’re not alone in that. I hope another responder has experience that can help you decide. For now this is just a little word if…

Make a grilled mac n cheese sandwich.
Aw man trying to finda job is just awful. Sending lots of support and good luck wishes that you land something soon.
19 is not the same as, say, 16. It’s still young but most people that age become better able to deal with the various cofusing things life throws at all of us. I thought you were talking about underage persons in your original post.
I don’t know about “skeevy” but it’s a really very bad idea. Most teenagers are all randy hormones before their ability to make good decisions and deal with the consequences are fully developed.
Someone should go find that one person in the world who actually likes Skreli, and have them explain why. It could be fascinating. Much the way a pile of dog vomit full of worms is fascinating.
I live in a giant earthquake zone in a small studio apartment. I figured out a quake kit in a wheeled trunk that I use as a table of sorts. It’s not a 2 week kit (more like 3 days), but it has water, a bug-out bag with first aid, freeze dried camping food, and lots of odds and ends like face masks, duct tape, work…
The image of her calling him “old man” in a very dignified manner is giving me new life right now.
Y’know...suddenly I just can’t.
I was even in the “nice” portion of the route, starting in the Marina. Can’t imagine how it went after crossing Market.
I would so delightedly come to your festival if it allows a cooler full of white wine?
I almost passed out on the 22 Fillmore today.
Baby steps that you pat yourself on the back for, every one. And banish embarrassment from your universe.
