Mass transit here is also not cheap. The city bus is 2.25. BART is getting pricey for daily commutes. Bridge tolls are nuts...what you save on housing you often pay in commute costs. Ideally you could live AND work outside the city.

Yup, I live downtown. And it’s not just pee. I feel so bad for these folks...and yes, it’s gross and I hate having to walk by it, but I’d hate even more living on the street with nowhere to take a crap.
