I got to tell ya, I if Android was lacking in one place it is definitely the lack of a singular, OEM desktop/phone app that handled multimedia the way iTunes and iPod does. It isn't hard to get music or anything on it but there is no streamlined way to control everything.

To be perfectly honest I don't use the spoken directions ever, I just have the phone on a window mount and look at it. I will test it out tonight though, and let you know.

It is just better integrated into everything (natch) and the actual app is super quick with it's vector based maps. Google Streetview helps sometimes when you are looking for a storefront or something. And with 4G, you can zoom and swipe 50 miles away with no lag.

Whatever they come up with will im sure be more than adequate to deal with but nothing can currently touch Google Maps and Navigation on my Galaxy Nexus. I could never see myself going to iOS unless it had the same software available which I don't ever see happening.
