I'm pretty sure that Eastman Kodak owns their own patents.

Not sure...

Apple totally owns the patent on photographic film.

If you don't fit with a helmet, grab a sledgehammer and Gurney bubble it!

The way these people are treated I would not call them greedy for demanding that they get paid what they are worth.

Sorry, I have to.

I understand this. I know that this is how the world goes. It is not however, in my eyes, the right thing for them to do. If I agreed with you I would say, "I agree with you" but I don't.

I think a better example would be if while you were driving me, at a rest stop you came up with a cheap and easy way to create and contain fusion on the Earth's surface. You then wrote down the directions on the nearest available paper which would be the manual. That manual has much more significance and value than it

Oh, I have definitely seen it. I knew what it was as soon as I heard it. What got me was the girl played right into it. Thanks for the info though.

"What country are you from?"

Hmmm... I understand your argument that artists deserve to get paid for the work they do. Creating the music and recording it. Perfecting it until it is flawless. Memorizing thousands of lyrics in order to put a show on that the audience will love. I get that. I want them to get paid for what they do. I also

Well those are completely different circumstances. I do not employ you and it is not your job to paint murals on my house. However, if you were to paint a sample piece on scrap canvas in order to make a test of what you would paint on my house, I wouldn't see you selling that small test painting to make some money as

Well I guess we will never know if you're right or not. NASA are totally being dicks. He made the calculations, they didn't care that he had the papers for 50 years, only when he wanted to make a buck off of his hard work.

Most artists make next to nothing on sales of cd's or music on online stores. Unless they self-release it and own the rights. The record companies usually own the rights to the music the artists make so they make most of their money from music sales. Artists make money from shows/merch and appearances.

It is "pirated downloadable music" it isn't stolen. Stealing something means you took it and it is no longer there. Pirating is making an illegal copy. That is why the "You wouldn't steal a car, would you?" defense doesn't work. When you steal a car, a copy of that car doesn't stay put, does it?

Yeah, it is totally NASA's property. He made the calculations that saved the astronauts' lives. Sure it was on paper that NASA supplied with a pencil that NASA supplied but it was him that did it. Sure, NASA helped as much they could but he was largely responsible for it.

The author just made a new definition of troll. He stated that there were two kinds of troll, one who does it intentionally to get a rise out of someone and one who basically just disagrees. Well, sorry but I disagree with a lot of things a lot of people have to say but that doesn't make me a troll. What would make me

Most definitely. I don't comment on Giz usually unless it is a funny picture or a response to someone saying something wrong so I guess I'm a troll too.

If they put one of these built into the thing, they would have to sell it for over $100 which is a price point I don't think they wanted to break into.

I was wondering were the snorkel was...
