The big thing here in the states seems to be that an officer of the law has to catch you doing something wrong. The people that work for the camera company are not officers of the law. The camera itself is not owned by the municipality. Its still owned by the private entity. This is like your neighbor training a

The problem is, though, that they weren’t. Hearsay was being allowed in the trial. Someone from the prosecution CLAIMED that they were calibrated, but failed to produce documentation to prove it. It was still allowed to be admitted as proof of calibration.

Not only that, but what did a town with < $1M in annual tax revenue do with $1.8M extra dollars? Thats a LOT of money for a town who, presumably, had things budgeted with expected income of < $1M. Did they build parks or fix roads or a library or do things that benefitted the residents?

But the burden of proof lies on the prosecution. You don’t have to prove you’re innocent, they have to prove you’re guilty. Thats why we have ‘innocent until PROVEN guilty’.

Yup. And in those cases, if you request to see the calibration certificate and it was not within a certain period, the case is dismissed.

In Pennsylvania, anyway (not sure if the nationwide in the US), the officer/car MUST be visible. They can not be fully hidden. If its night/dark out, they must have their parking lights on.

Watergate-gate was my favorite scandal, bar none.

We’ve got a French Door with a DOUBLE drawer bottom freezer. Worst. Ever. The upper fridge is fine, but the double drawer freezer is kind of a waste of space. Honestly, we have an upright freezer in the garage, and I’d almost prefer JUST a refrigerator in the kitchen. I can walk to get the stuff out of the freezer.

It’s 4 F’s... I didn’t know it was gonna come off like that.

You’ve never been a customer of a VW dealership, have you?

A fortune teller told him it was in the basement of the Alamo.

They should start by kicking the dealers asses for having god awful customer service. I was a dyed in the wool VW enthusiast for my first 28 years of life. I likely wouldn’t buy another one if it was free. The dealers treat you with contempt and overcharge you for everything. Back in the mk4 days I needed coil packs

What they should do is go back to offering decent cars for the money. Offer the Polo here. VW practically INVENTED the small entry hatch market, but what do they have to compete with the Fit, Fiesta, Mazda 2, Mirage, etc? Nothing. You can barely get into a Jetta for less than $18K. When your absolute cheapest stripped

The guy from Modest Mouse seems OK?

I previously had Sol Republic Jax that I bought with my original Moto X because I could get them color matched. They sounded good enough and held up wonderfully over the 3+ years since then, so this Christmas I got the Sol Republic Shadow wireless ear buds. Factory refurb on Amazon puts them @ about the same $35-40

Chad Pennington was one of them. He wasn’t just hurt, he was HURT and he refused to stay down. He hobbled and crawled and cried his way to the sideline so that they wouldn’t have to take a time out.

WD doesn’t have a huge footprint in enterprise/data center class drives. Seagate and HGST do.

I have 4x 2tb WD greens in my Lenovo/iomega nas for going on 5 years now 24/7. The trick to greens is using the WDIdle tool from Was to disable the head parking. Then they’re essentially identical to red drives.
