safe to say that Rick will out bid anyone when it comes to rear chevys for charity

no doubt about that. i just wish we could go back to 2005 when diesels didnt need all of the systems which make them so expensive to upkeep as well as less reliable overall. i dont want an egr, no swirl valves and no particulate filters.

i like cadillacs system for paying attention

your pictures suck. stop blowing them out trying to make the contrast so dramatic because we cant see any details.......

I have owned an ecoboost and ram and my best friend owns an eco diesel. accelerating and on the hills the eco diesel needs some help. im sorry but thats my opinion. for a DD its great and you never really notice the lack of power. for me it doesnt even come close to justifying the cost considering the complexity of

the engine itself is not the issue (unless it was the ford 6.0 and 6.2) its the systems that make the engine less efficient and costly. the need to “bulletproof” a brand new engine is crazy

and its dated already

they are not more reliable im sorry and its kinda strange to suggest the new gen engines are as reliable as the 12 valve. maybe if they were stripped down with out an egr and particulate filters and swirl valves.

have you driven a ecodiesel? they have torque but no power. i dont want to run through the equations with you but torque alone means nothing. i own a 22f wakeboard boat I have towed it with several different configurations and friends trucks and im telling you the ecodiesel needs a bit more help.

i hear ya on on the towing but with these engines in stock form they really are not that impressive. (going off the ecodiesel dodge). the value just isnt there in my head. if those 4.5L 2005 trucks came out it would totally make sense but in 2018 im not seeing it

Its growing on me. I also love the Locking diff. thats something you cant get in other half ton trucks (that i know of)

why is everyone all about the little diesels? the idea of them sounds great until you realize these little 3.0s are very underpowered and boy do they have issues as they get miles on them. regulations have made them way less desirable to me considering how reliable and cheap the gas counterparts are.

its a throw back and its great

YES...because it looks nothing like it in any way

to be fair if this was a tesla you would love its simplicity

im not and have never said the people at ford did not know about the issues with thin aluminum in the bed of their truck. they made a judgment and thought that the wight and EPA fuel economy would sell more trucks then this potential issue. i work for a manufacture and we trade off all the time but this is a pickup

so many words to state obvious information......and i think you underestimate how people use pickup beds. its not that hard to puncture the aluminum bed. denting is fine everyone expects that its the easy puncture that makes the aluminum a bad choice.....and please save “they could just make it thicker because then

the spray in bed liner is an option. yeah the gauge of aluminum is so thin it just rips pretty easy so a spray in bed liner would be perfect. composites really make sense for the bottom of a bed. steel is good but it does dent. aluminum dents and is prone to ripping as well

saying aluminum is not a good material for bed is not a bad thing......it isnt a great material for that area.

its so terrible i cant believe they are building it. it looks like its from 1999
