Hmm, I found the combat system extremely reactive and tactical at the same time, and since one needs that to win any any fights in the game, I can’t believe that I imagined that.

Witcher 1 and 2 are in the same league as Deus Ex, Portal and System Shock 2, among the very best games of all time. But everybody is different, so suit yourself. I mean I loathe the “story” of Bethesda games, I’m bored by Mass Effect, I play fps’ every couple of years, I like Titan Quest way more than Diablo 2, I

Yeah, Bethesda games are ideal if one just wants to explore and doesn’t care about gameplay or story. Not that Bethesda games are really bad in gameplay and story, they’re just not good.

But... Witcher 2 uses 10 buttons for combat, 4 of them directional keys, 2 different strikes, you only need one, another 4 are used for abilities. Only 6 are needed, directional buttons, one strike, dodging. You mean you don’t like dynamic combat, right?

Besides the games’ plot being pretty much stand alone, the Witcher games are among the best rpgs. Part 1 has the better story (imho), part 2 has better staging (graphics and sound, arguably gameplay too). Both are superb, but seeing as I’m pretty bored by Mass Effect, it could be that not everybody sees it that way.

I just wanted to speculate as much. Can’t imagine it looking worse than Witcher 2...

You know, I never understood why people seem to hate WoT because RJ lost his way a bit in between, and he loves to describe stuff, but ASoIaF is nothing but confusing ramble that leads nowhere. And it is loved... I mean, often I roll my eyes about the ass holey things people do in WoT, but ASoIaF is nothing but

I thought book 5 would be two series? So Martin isn't only saying that he won't write faster just to keep in front of the series, he is saying it will take more than 2 more years, even though it's taken quite long already? And I just remember, I stopped after book 3, and that was back when I read in german, so it was

I thought Halo was too old, too imitating when it came out.

Deus Ex, Portal, Europa Universalis IV, The Witcher, SW:Kotor, Jade Empire, Mount and Blade: Warband, Monkey Island 2. You forgot some...

They have been known to try to sink their teeth into humans, we know that urine isn't bait for them, and somehow that means they wouldn't enter the urethra? You even write "Researchers couldn't test whether one candiru had got itself stuck inside one man, but they could test the notion that candiru were urine-seeking

Why do you have to start with racist remarks?

I thought: "Wow, this looks really interesting. Who would've thought after the other films that are almost on a level with Transformers 2 (the worst movie i have ever seen). And the base material seems to be a bit crummy, too. But I wanna see this movie!"

Because his movies are really fun in their own way, and the first five minutes of Postal were among the most hilarious scenes I have ever seen. And only geeks know his movies...

For me the problems with Console gaming are way bigger: expensive, less content, no open network, and the kicker: Can't use that thing to write and work.

Probably Omen Deng (Alpha Protocol) without being hit once. Probably not my greatest success, but definitely the most memorable. Another big one was making Bremen Emperor in Europa Universalis IV. And if i can conquer Spain as a south american, I will have another one.

But... the characters aren't good...

Your comment just showed an unwillingness to accept animals as complex automata, and you seem to think our personalities are more than just an emergent system. And I wanted to know how far that goes. Purely interest on my part, not a start of an argument :-)

Yeah, it's evidently working, there's a species that does it...

Hmm, do you believe in the soul then, too?
