The biggest tragedy in all of this is that they probably won’t be able to find another white heterosexual ivy league finance bro to take Taubman’s place.

It bothers me so much that she tried to deflect all the criticism with “Just be kind!” It’s such a chicken shit defense that doesn’t reckon at all with the criticism she received. “Oh, you’re mad about me, whose celebrity is inextricably linked with her sexuality, hanging out with a dude who pissed all over gay

Its amazing how men always know exactly how they would react and exactly what they would do if they were ever forcibly raped by a man (let alone a very famous man) when its something they have no reason to ever worry about.

This is some serious white people shit.

First time saying this: thank god I’m too old to give a shit.

I don’t hate the LGBTQ community...I just shill for an organization that hates the LGBTQ community. See the difference there?

He was the fielder coming in from behind, as it’s baseball he had a right to the ball

Seriously though, why is that not a matter of public shaming? Why aren’t we telling people with confederate flags to go back to their own country?

Look, how could Augusta be racist? They began allowing black people to play there only *checks notes* 110 years after slavery was abolished.

Stick to sports.

The PGA is a sporting concern whose most prestigious tournament takes place at a club that had no black members until 1990

Thanks for articulating this in a way I couldn’t. Super cool to be felt like an outsider all of your life in the straight world, but even cooler to enter the gay community and then be derided because you’re not the “right type of gay”.

All of this.

Is it possible that it’s maybe not outright homophobia, but still pretty shitty to criticize someone for not being gay the way you want them to be (politician or not)?

This. It’s like if a black man wrote an essay about Obama and heavily implied he wasn’t a real black man because he never joined a gang or smoked crack. It’s literally criticizing the man for not embodying stereotypes.

Well this gay man found parts of the article to be quite homophobic. Calling a gay man “Mary” in an attempt to degrade and belittle him is pretty textbook homophobia.

One of my partners at work is from Maine. Said meth hasn’t hit there yet, there’s too much easy access to coke.

Also sad to see National Bohemian ignored here. It has the taste of rusty nails and seawater. But it tends to be dirt cheap.
