Well this gay man found parts of the article to be quite homophobic. Calling a gay man “Mary” in an attempt to degrade and belittle him is pretty textbook homophobia.

A 17-year-old is not a young adult. A 17-year-old is an adolescent. Young people kill themselves quite frequently in adolescence. They’re all suffering. It is not a disrespect to their suffering to acknowledge that assisting their suicide is madness.
