Same. Love true crime stories but I never enjoy his work. I tried, once again, by watching American Horror Story: Hotel last night and I eyerolled my way through it.

Unfortunately, sometimes in these situations, the parent might not treat all the children the same. I’ve witnessed it myself; they might go after one kid but not another. They may play them against each other. I don’t know if that is what’s happening in Rosie’s family, but it does happen.
That is all so heartbreakingly true. The defenses go up and you become desperate to be heard, listened to, believed. The hardest part is the “two different people” scenario. I don’t know if this is what she’s taking about with Rosie, but for me it was the proof that the parent can actually control their behavior. And…
Hugs to you from an internet stranger who is also a fellow depressed person and a child of a Jekyll/Hyde personality. It’s very real, often hard to explain or prove, and can make one feel very small and insignificant.
This needs more stars but some people cannot handle the truth.
Yeah, I’m wagering those other factors are what make some dudes think they should give unsolicited advice about what they consider acceptable hairstyles.
Leaving it in the capable hands of a stylist is really key. I think because bangs seem like a small and simple thing that a lot of people hesitate to pay a stylist to do it. But they are not simple and become part of your overall face so it's money well spent to have it done right!
Sometimes we have to shave those men right off of our heads. Fuck it!
Ugh seriously what is with dudes and their obsession with long hair on women?!
She sounds amazing. Her skills and wisdom are on point.
Oh god yeah the curly springback! It's vicious!!
My still very youthful face at the time definitely helped! Good for you for having the balls to do it! I still don’t regret it, even though it was a hard lesson to learn.
does your stylist “specialize” in curly hair? I’ve heard this is a must for curly girls but the best stylist I ever had was not necessarily a curly specialist and she even had the complete opposite hair type as me. Somehow she worked miracles.
Yaaaas! Fuzzy pumpkin definitely didn’t need no man, and that was good because that look did not attract many suitors. That’s not a slam against shaved heads, either. Amber Rose is a goddess with that same look but pumpkins come in all shapes and sizes and mine....well, it needs hair. I'm still glad I did it though!
Seriously, more women need to embrace the wig. Halloween costumes give wigs a bad rep but if someone is willing to spend more than $9.99, they can be so gorgeous and fun. Also a great way to “try out” a new style!
You look so great with curly bangs. I've tried this and I cannot make it work. What is the secret?!
This. A million times this. I don’t know what it is about bad times leading to bad hair but it’s totally a thing that I’ve witnessed in others and done to myself.
I needed this today. The siren song of bangs has been calling to me again. My hair is curly and although I can straighten it guess which part is the curliest/most unruly? Every single time I cut bangs I regret it almost immediately and OMG the growing out period. The clips, the Bobby pins, the headbands....*shudder*
Was it from Contempo Casuals? I had a few of those. The constant vaginal wedgie is not something easily forgotten. Nor is the feeling of one of the snaps letting go while you’re trying to take a goddamned math test.
All those beautiful women looking like they’re posing in some very fancy potato sacks.
