I also can’t see the show replacing him with anyone but Burnham though, so it’s a question of how we get there.

If it’s leading anywhere, I think this might all be trying to show us Burnham’s journey to the Captain’s chair? And if nothing else that would be the opposite of JJ-Kirk’s shortcut from idiot-to-captain.

It depends which long-con you’re talking about?

This was a pretty great episode, but it did feel a bit rushed in places. So it gets a score of ‘Derek’, but falls short of scoring ‘Maximum Derek’.

The biggest laugh for me was Jason suggesting things have got out of hand and they should go to the cops.

I had the same thought - nobody in Britain talks about griddle chips. I guess the problem was that the writers came up with the idea, but were then disappointed to discover that the English equivalent of “pancake” is “pancake”.

Btw, I am English. Not quite of the same social status as Tahani, but... I have never heard that phrase, or the term “griddle chip” a single time in my whole, entire life. Someone is forking with us.

And Derek, surely?
“Maximum Derek!”

The train tracks are not in town. They abut the town. In addition. Bad Janet was simply facing the opposite direction.

Am I the only one who sees the Neighborhood as being very heavily influenced by The Village from The Prisoner? Has Michael Schur or- well, anyone- confirmed any influence?

Not just Derek.

My guess is that Deke is Rey’s long-lost brother.

Nick Blood supports Liverpool in real life

A chronicon is a universal history. So Enoch, or at least his race is a living, sentient, history of the entire universe. He describes himself as an anthropologist who arrived as our group of apes was getting started, so it remains to be seen if he is by himself, or if there is a crew of other specialists keeping

"We have a Hulk."
"We've got a Sun."
"…shit."

Dani bounces and claps.

Not to mention the obvious but: Also, you tell the story of the cluster that fights and wins, not the cluster that takes their blockers and keeps their head down to avoid trouble.

Jonas and Whispers also got screwed by chance, which is really what makes this cluster stand out above all the rest. Sure, they're still learning how to be sensates, but in the meantime they're also an actor, a hacker, a mafioso, a chemist, a cop, a badass driver, a DJ with underground connections, and a Sun.

Our cluster is new to this game. Their "mother" Angelica killed herself, and Jonas has shown himself to be a self-serving prick so they don't really have anyone to guide or show them the "how-to's" of being a sensate or avoiding BPO. The fact that they're the first cluster to ruffle BPO's feathers is a testament to

"At heart she's not a killer."
