Precisely. When I read on What's On Tonight that this episode was about Red Kryptonite I was fully expecting campy, Richard Pryor-esque BS. Glad to be completely wrong. This was easily the best episode of Supergirl so far.

This show was built on obscure references down to the title of the first episode. I first learned about Krampus from this show. Some of their commentary talks about how they get caught up in the finer (and irrelevant) real life background details of their stories. Probably explains why it takes them forever to finish

Did some further checks and the stories may have been embellished somewhat. Sounds like the first kid was really overweight, ran up some stairs to play the game and didn't die after getting the high score but sometime during. Then again there doesn't seem to be any precise details of what happened. But it does make

Precisely, some of the earlier season flashbacks have shown him going absolutely bananas on guys. Like Brock with guns.

Seriously how on earth could that have happened in real life…twice! Doc and Jackson always go deep with the historical minutia.

You win the internet for that one.

John K. was one of the main people behind the Bakshi produced The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse. When you go back and watch some of the more extreme episodes you can see John K's fingerprints all over it.

Jokes on you. Ray is pretty much talking with his regular voice throughout the show. lol

You're in luck. Ray Winstone is literally the whitest guy in this show and his cockney accent sort of takes you out of the period (y'know more than the regular British accents used in these types of period pieces).

The counter to this would be that the Brown Widow's co-worker instantly knew it was him in that costume. Then again that was a face-to-face thing as opposed to Dr. Mrs. the Monarch looking at video footage.

Didn't he drop a "bitch" on Whitney as Wilkes walked in at the end of last episode?

The recent Deadpool movie has shown that you can have a near perfect comic accurate costume translate from the page to live-action. Daredevil had no excuse with whatever that was on screen. At the very least choose some of his variant costumes that he's had over the years and play off that.

Judging by the steady decrease in comments week after week you are probably right. I watched the first two episodes intently but now just have it on in the background while I do something else. A Netflix binge would have been preferable I'm guessing.

"She's gonna do a superhero landing….totally impractical but they all do it" Deadpool

Chris Carter certainly George Lucas'd the hell out of that.

Annalise did say she wanted the entire crime scene to be utter chaos. Mission Accomplished. I have no idea what the game plan at this point is either.

A callback to Whitney Frost's comic book ties to the Maggia. Real subtle.

But wasn't Non married to Astra when they were both sent to Fort Roz? Wouldn't that mean Astra was married to him before Kara left Krypton (when she was a kid)? Technically I thought Astra was the mastermind which makes the distinction strange.

Yeah why was Winn trying to come up with some convoluted reason for Kara's absence. Just keep it simple, she has a cold or diarrhea or something. I do think Cat had mentioned previously about Kara never being sick though during her Supergirl suspicions.

Just a minor note. Your wife's niece is also your niece as well. Although I think Kara has probably only called him "uncle" maybe once if I remember correctly.
