Yeah the MCU sort of overdid it with Cap's strength which was never superhuman just peak human.

Clearly a macguffin.
80s Scott Glenn with a haircut looking like Henry from The Americans.
From interviews and her time on the convention circuit she tends to skew more on the nerd side of the spectrum. Maybe she wanted to be on the show. She mentioned her dad and brother are big Daredevil fans.
That scene was a near recreation from Miller's Man Without Fear except in the comics it took place shortly after Stick abandoned Matt.
I like to think that's why they avoided having Foggy meet the man in black. If it was my long-time friend I would know in an instant from height, build and there's only so much you can change your voice. It always bothered me when characters like Jim Gordon would get close to both Batman and Bruce Wayne and not figure…
There are some convoluted gymnastics that are pseudo-canon about Clark blurring his features like in the Flash despite no explicit reference in the artwork or dialogue. As one of the original superheroes it's strange he never wore a mask since his non-super predecessors like the Crimson Avenger and the Shadow…
The corrupt cop Blake got everyone to specifically change frequencies.
Firefly got away with the same thing on network TV by swearing in Mandarin.
An upvote is not enough for that description. LOL
At the time my emphasis was less the "white" part and more why weren't her parents hanging over Coulson's shoulder begging him and May to rescue their daughter.
Yeah, I meant revolvers. I'm almost tempted to edit my comment and make your reply look confusing.
Please no. Skye does not deserve to be in an Avengers movie.
Speaking of May shooting the child, why did Coulson and everyone come running in the building when May shot Katya but not when the guy shot May in the leg a few minutes earlier? That right there was a plot contrivance.
He did say he prefers pistols since they don't jam. Togusa from Ghost in the Shell uses the same rationale.
I noticed the difference even in the action choreography. I'd be hard pressed to tell if DD uses any wire work, but May jumping up to the second story during her infiltration was clearly on a wire (aside from her jumping absurdly high).
The same applies to Skye. These two are ostensibly the two main characters of AoS but both would be better as side characters. As to who should be the main characters of this show…who knows.
I thought it was strange that an unattended white child was roaming around Bahrain and was the first person the street gang grabbed. I remember thinking, "That's odd? Is this girl a tourist? Where are her parents?" I thought at first Eva maybe had a secondary power other than strength but then figured the little girl…
…sort of Thor in Adventures in Babysitting.
Xiao Xiao levels of awesomeness.
