I'm 8 months pregnant. :/

I know I'M more enamored with Grumpy Cat.

My motivation for chicken comes from a love of eggs more than a love of birds. lol

If I was ever going to raise livestock it would be chickens and goats.

Gifs are the best medicine. :)

I thought that might be the case, since I've seen many others complaining of broken gifs that I can see just fine.

You sound like you could use an adorably humourous gif:

I'm seeing your gif! It's a very grumpy Yzma. :)

That's great! That's exactly what the nation needs, to have people take this tragedy and use it to inspire good deeds. Enjoy your class! They can be long, and even a bit boring at times, but I've never regretted it.

I love how careful this boy is being to avoid smudging other people's messages. I don't often see that sort of thoughtfulness from kids (probably because I'm usually around a younger set due to my own kid's age). I'm not sure why I latched onto that, but I did. It just feels touching to me.

Nice to know the upper crust set leave their wet towels on the bed too, and it's not just us poors.

And bananas!

OK, maybe I shouldn't have, but I lol'd.

He's OK, but David....mmmmmMmmmmm...

THERE IS A WORLD IN WHICH WE ALL GET TO MARRY DAVID TENNANT?!

And yeah, that Ford Pinto case was just so, so awful. Turns my stomach thinking about it.

True. But some others have pointed out that seeking damages is often a lot like haggling. So that may be the case here...seeking far more than you actually expect.

But they DIDN'T fire the employee. If they did, and she was still suing, then I'd be totally on board with you.

Punitive damages are different than regular damages. Perhaps a lawyer will pipe up with a more detailed explanation, but basically, punitive damages are a way of punishing a defendant to discourage them from doing something again in the future, as in the McDonald's hot coffee case, or the Ford Pinto cases.
