We pay H&R Block to do ours. It gets so complicated filing both Canadian and US taxes, that we find it's worth it to have them do it for us. They always find us enough credits and stuff to more than cover the cost. Though, next year we'll probably just have them file our US taxes since we now have a good idea how to

Oh man. I hope your friends have a better sense of humor than some of the people I see on social media. Some people turn into GIANT assholes if you point out even the tiniest flaw with something they've posted.

I think people with compromised immune systems shouldn't have to get sick, or go deaf, or die because other parents ignore the actual evidence.

I'm sorry this is happening to your beautiful home city. It's sad no matter where it happens, but it's even sadder for people like you with a deep love for the place.

That's the entire aim of terrorism, to create mass terror in society. You don't scare the general populace only hurting the people you think deserve it, you create far more fear by making everyday people fear for themselves and their loved ones.

Well, I'm definitely not an expert so I could be way off base.

I just watched a different video of the explosion and immediate aftermath and I think, I *think* I saw an officer help him to his feet and walk him away from the scene.

I really hope he's ultimately OK.

I think it's one of the ways people try to create a sense of control in such an out of control event.

I think the basic idea is that it's better to clear the area, blow the thing up when there isn't anybody near enough to get hurt, than it is to risk trying to disarm it or move it and risk it detonating in the process and killing the members of the bomb squad.

I think it's normal for people to connect in what ways they have to a location of tragedy. I think it's one of the ways our brains try to make sense of what's happened. I immediately thought of the one time I was fortunate enough to visit Boston...even though it has nothing to do with anything happening today. But

I think people are speculating all sorts of things (from "Muslims" to anti-tax domestic terrorism, seeing as it's Tax Day and Boston had that famous "tea party" before the Revolutionary War). But the only official report so far is that no credible claims for responsibility have been made.

You said that well. I'm safe in Calgary. But this is just, this SUCKS. It just does. Humans have such a capacity to do great things (like running a marathon!), and to show love and kindness and camaraderie. And yet we also have such a capacity to be selfish, evil fuck-ups.

You can see in the footage of the explosion at least one runner, looks like an older gentlemen, went down. I'm guessing shrapnel hit his leg or the concussive force knocked him off balance.

If you ever do need to buy them, you can get 'em at the dollar store and they're just as reliable as the pricey version.

Oh yes, dollar store tests all the way. They work EXACTLY the same as the $15 ones.

Most of the stores I go to haven't switched to the type of scanners that work yet. But they'll just punch in the number instead...except Shopper's. Shopper's won't honor your member card unless you hand over the physical card. So I have to keep that one in my wallet.

Some people have amazing luck when it comes to genes. And that's out of your control.

Weight distribution is totally normal. And the stomach usually doesn't go back to what was normal before baby, especially if you have Diastasis recti and don't realize it, or do exercises that keep it from healing properly.
