Super!
Super!
I think the argument is a little more nuanced than that, though as you use phrases like “fake progressive corporate mouthpieces” I suspect nuance may be a waste of time.
To be fair you also need to handicap Trump’s figure by whatever percentage he ends up stealing, and then again by whatever amount has to be squirreled away to porn stars he’s banged and so forth.
Thank you for this. I get pretty sick of people who think Democrats in Congress can/ought to basically storm the Oval Office with weapons drawn and expect the Supreme Court to say “fine, you’re good”.
It doesn’t translate into searing insight, that was irony.
If you make a big point about not wanting to make the effort to say anything more than "bullshit", it sort of defeats the object if you then come back repeatedly to defend said searing insight.
Yeah, that’s definitely what I’m saying: “don’t hold them accountable”. The fact that the words I’m using are “this poster is a fucking monomaniac and while what he says may have some merit I’m fucking sick of him puking it up over every thread going” is totally irrelevant.
His strategy will rest on not acknowledging that he is president and in fact has been for fout years. He has to be an outsider and to cast all the terrible problems he patently hasn't solved as someone else's fault, ie the Democrats.
OP is all over about 80% of posts here making the same argument, which simplifies as “centrist Democrats are the real villains”. My point is that it’s astonishingly dull regardless of its merits. I don’t need to be reminded of anything with that degree of frequency, even if it’s not to leave my shoes where the dog can…
Thanks for sharing. Another possibility is that lots of us already know that not all Democrats are squeaky clean and don’t need to be constantly reminded of it at every single fucking opportunity, relevant or not, by Captain Fuckflaps up there.
Oh great, Roger Irrelevant is here again to bore us all shitless.
I’m not sure I’d go that far. But I would be interested in learning more about whether or not Devin Nunes was involved with cocaine and underage sex workers.
Yesterday he told me to stay on topic after I called him out for posting about the Democrats hating Ilhan Omar under an article about Steve Mnuchin being a grifter. He also said I’d never met any Muslims “like him” (which, hmm) and then the whole thread mysteriously disappeared.
Schumer didn’t say Omar was the same as the nazis.
TBF I only gave it cursory thought in the first place. I've no doubt it wasn't intended as I read it, and I may well have been oversensitive.
Serious question: why is there no sanction for any of this stuff? It’s an almost daily story: Trump/Trump adjacent goon revealed as having committed yet another gross act of grift; no consequences. Surely it can’t just be that there’s an assumption that people in high office will be hurt by the embarrassment and…
Only vaguely, I've never really watched it. I think my point was that there's a difference between a well developed character satirising an unpleasant trope and someone on the internet commenting on said satire by saying, in effect, "huh huh, prison rape". Like, maybe, someone called blpppt (Pat D) is sort of riding…
Fuck me, irony is really lost on you isn't it?
Mate it costs me nothing to tell you what a prat you are. Like using the word “triggered”, which only wankers do.
Yeah, but Stephen Yaxley-Lennon sounds like a public schoolboy. Tommy Robinson sounds like what a violently xenophobic former football hooligan would be called, which is kind of his personal branding.
