Apropos:

Now you know Mike Pence can’t be on a debate stage with a woman who isn’t his wife.  What would Jesus and Mother think?

No worries! More the ‘there’s only so many places one can put it’ scenario.

Better than those auxiliary fuel tanks that sit behind the cab in the bed of pickups.  Or the gas heaters that sat *above* the fuel tank in early VW bugs...

Having driven various VWs (Type I’s and Type III’s) in my formative HS years, you aren’t missing a whole lot a la driving experience (although Type III Squarebacks are excellent in the snow due to all the weight over the rear wheels).  The ability to work on a VW with nothing more than a screwdriver, an adjustable

As opposed to the fuel tank sitting just behind & below the rear passengers’ asses?

Tradeoffs are made.

(also, the fuel tank is just barely visible inboard of the wheels, but there’s inner fender well in the way)

As someone who spent a large swath of 1999 working to address Y2K issues in customers’ hardware and software (Remember Netware 3.11 and NT 4.0 kiddies? It was used as server infrastructure by a huge swath of companies in 1999-2000 and neither were Y2K compliant without significant updates), there was a veritable

speaking of, that thing looks about as likely to end up on its side or roof as a Reliant Robin.

I’d be OK with Harris, but I’d really prefer Rice (although perhaps Biden wants her to get the nod for SoS to undo all the diplomatic cluster-fuckage sown by #45 and his minions since January 20, 2017).

Here’s one for 1/5th the price in Washington State, although it has some minor issues and has some questionable upgrades by the current or previous owner(s).

If I am going to pay a quarter-million for an E30 M3, I want an analog clock and a dogleg shifter.

A few others for an ‘Also to consider’ list:

Zoom is great for remote D&D.

From what I understand, it was not a factory-installed option, therefore aftermarket (albeit from BMW). I’d also call the carbon-fiber M-Sport airbox aftermarket for the same reason. That being said, I would not mind having either.

Fair enough - eye of the beholder and all that.  If you mean E90/E92 3-series, then that’s the same generation as the E82.  But again, all subjective.

V6 != I6

I actually like the looks - most of the recent BMWs (E90/E91 M-cars excepting) are extremely blah (or ludicrous with all the fake vents and gills and shit. It’s not E36 M3 / E30 M3 / E81 / 2002 gorgeous, but then again, it’s also not a Bangle-butt 7-series (E65), Dame Edna 5-series (E60) or a <shudder> GT.

Sorry for your loss, although I’m sure the Camaro is a hoot and a half.
