As I stated in the VW Electric Car Platform article thread, would it kill VW to come out with the first mass-produced electric plug-in station wagon? It’s a niche begging to be filled.
(it’s even rear-wheel drive - if they offered it in brown, it would be the Jalopnik electric car spirit animal)
Would it kill them to have a station wagon? Yeah, the e-Bus is cute and all, but a nice electric SportWagon replacement with rear-wheel drive would really float my boat (and allow me to get rid of my Mk7 TDI finally).

I’d love to replace my 2015 Golf Sportwagon TDI with a genuine 300+ mile-range electric equivalent (including usable interior / cargo space). I need something to haul my family and my dogs.
