Well, he did hoover up all the coke.
Picking up my copy tomorrow. Happy belated birthday to me.
E30 325iX with an S52 swap. You should be able to come in under $15k easily (the only trick is the modified oil pan required for the iX drivetrain / front suspension).
If it is a Takata, at least you know it can’t kill again.
Z3 M hardtop is good. Z3 M Coupe is better because it is lighter and the chassis is stiffer (plus it just looks a bit weird - always a plus when driving a BMW to separate you from the typical status-seekers).
Yeah, but chlamydia hopped up on coke is a different beast entirely. Right up there with herpes on meth.
Funny story, that. The week I (finally) was able to get my 128i into the dealer to have the deathbag replaced, I received another recall notice for the PCV Valve Heater in the mail:
I was also worried about her stabbing me in my sleep. And unfortunately, in Washington DC, you cannot evict someone from your house, even if they don’t pay rent or help with your mortgage.
If it were under $10k, I’d jump all over that in a heartbeat (wish it were white, but I can handle disappointment), but unfortunately, $17k for a 28-year-old Miata, even a Miata with only 14k on the clock and real goddamn pop-up headlights the way God intended, is still way too steep.

I’m pretty sure that this had an S42 motor, not an S14 motor (or perhaps that was later when they badged it as a 320i for BTCC and DTM). If so, it’s a race-built, dry-sump, screamer of an M42 motor instead of a ripped-off E30 M3 motor.
Quick fix: force drivers who never haul trailers with their SUVs or never put anything into their truck beds to buy minivans or station wagons. Fleet mileage averages will leap by 20%.
Newly discovered reserves and hydraulic fracturing have basically tied our OPEC friends’ hands and they no longer hold the leverage over us they once did.
I’ll see you at the AARP meetings in a couple of years.
And the world is better for it.
