Such a timely article. I’m a retro gamer in my (very limited free time) and as such I have a TON of consoles in my game area with TVs and a VCR. I used to use like 8 power strips in various outlets to try to accommodate all the plugs and crap which I hated.

Last week I picked up a 24 outlet Tripplite and it is amazing.

People that complain about save “scumming” have never played a Sierra title where you constantly have to save your game.

I’m at work (shhhhh!) so I cant watch that video but E.T. was hardly the single culprit. You had an industry that was just pushing out so much product with almost zero market research. You had clones, re-releases, games that weren’t games a continuous stream of crap. At no point did Atari management stop and think

I STILL can’t get saves to work. Would be nice to play the game in smaller chunks since I have to leave it running perpetually.

I really REALLY wish I could enjoy this game but I am afflicted with the corrupted save bug so unless I dedicate a whole day to beating it with no mistakes I’m stuck.

Wasn’t this the same console that was a failed Kickstarter? Isn’t there a ton of rumors around that this thing is complete vaporware and inside the box at the fair was a SNES mini with some upscaling going on?

It’s funny that we did almost the exact same thing over the Blizzard. My friends and I picked it up for Xbox one and it is DEFINITELY more fun with a controller.

Isn’t this the exact same “retro console” that was cartridge based on Kickstarter? Didn’t it fail to raise half of its goal?

Honestly it will be a lot cheaper to go online on Ebay and buy a bunch of RedBull codes for an XP boost. They’re transferrable to any character and you can get like 50 for this price.

True. That one scene in RotS where Hayden Christiansen (spelling?) is ***SPOILER*** Killing those aliens and he turns to the camera you can see why they cast him. It was just the acting that made it a little less than perfect. But I can’t imagine what any of those movies would have looked like if it was all placation

It probably means nothing but I own both and it seems like I spend more time on my Xbox than my PS4. Maybe it’s because most of my friends went xbox, but for whatever reason I use my PS4 more for streaming at this point.

Gotta agree with OnLevendary86 said. The elite controller isn’t for everyone. It’s for people who are professional or very hardcore gaming. I’ve had the chance to play around with it and it’s incredible.

I agree also. No movie will ever live up to the insane hype that is Star Wars. No matter what Lucas did in the prequels people would have gotten upset (for the record I don’t totally hate the prequels at all and RotS is right up there).

I’m guessing the clone army was mostly gone by now. It’s been 70 years on top of the time that went by between Prequels and original.

I don’t know. I think if you incorporate that there is an entire galaxy into the idea of scale it can get somewhat understandable. I can understand the sports stars but if there was no television and the Earth was the size of a galaxy would everyone know? There’s also the question of distortion like the telephone

DAMNIT!!!! I read one article and I’m now digging out my credit card again. Damn you Blizzard.

b-b-but you can’t have a rational compromise! This is the internet. We have to justify our pointless product loyalty lest we realize that companies exist to make money and not care about much else!

I have the quest, but the first two times I tried that final S.A.B.E.R. strike it was crazy hard. Does anyone have any strats for that part. I admit I was only light 270 when I first tried it so maybe that was a contributing factor.

In my experience in the game you can 1 man, or 2 man a lot of content including dungeons. I’m guessing it will have to rely a bit on your configuration and it may take some extra time meaning if you’re both DPS it might be harder compared to a tank/healer but a tank/healer would take longer. I don’t think OPS and Hard

I’m not being obtuse I’m just trying to ascertain what would be a better solution, but thanks for pointing out that online does not necessarily mean online all the time. I guess it really is a dually obtuse argument in that there are people who have full internet access and there are those who don’t and being on one
