They kind of tried it with Games for Windows having some crossover with Xbox Live, but as crazy as it sounds I do think that's the direction we should be heading in especially publishers. More cross device gaming. Mac and PC, Xbox and PS4.

I felt the same way. I mean at this point 90% of games are rehashes of the same thing. I think it's a symptom of games becoming a formulaic industry.

I literally just got this on Saturday (older version) since my local Best Buy is awful. I can say for retro consoles it's great. I'm not trying to drive up hits but here's a vid I did Sunday Night of Night Trap which is a pretty low quality Sega CD game. You'll have to forgive the mono sound. I'm lazy.

I totally get the streaming music while playing being a problem. I get that. The issue is still with the in game sound since that is much harder to work around. Personally it doesn't effect me much since I do a stream of a retro game, then I post it on YouTube and I take my chances up there.

Isn't there some whacky legal reason why they never re-do it? Like it's 1/2 theirs and 1/2 Nintendo's? I remember some guy was doing a fanmade repro of it that was incredible but it got the ban hammer

I'm very similar. I tend to buy them based on the overall interest. My last purchase was a WIIU. Kind of interested in the New Super Mario, Mario Kart 8 added to it and Smash Bros convinced me to make the investment.
