Realistically speaking, I doubt the idea of having “big, bold, and brash” vehicles regardless of powertrain will ever die. You’re eventually going to get the EV equivalent of the Diesel Brothers selling mods that bypass safeties or limiters (and maybe subscriptions), you’re going to get your EV Brodozers who rebel

We need a fully fledged market for EVs. Hard to argue Tesla isn’t the pinnacle of the EV heap right now, but I personally don’t like them.  I’d absolutely take their powertrain in an old car though...

What we really need are electric cars with enough character to be considered by the culture.

Perhaps BMW could pursue an attractive vehicle.

as would IBM, Palm, etc.

Apple invented the smartphone and were first to market...

Are you kidding?
Something about the way the word sounds made me thankful the article wasn’t about cars washing themselves.
In private places.
In public.

All jokes aside, thank you writing this.
Words and meanings have indeed gotten rather squirrely as of late, and I I’m wholeheartedly thankful for any attempt to bring

I was expecting an article about self driving cars taking themselves to the car wash (autonowashing) at the most ecological correct time (greenwashing).

Hi Jason! A chilean guy here! The video it’s hilarious, but I feel I should warn you the twitter account you linked is a far-right, trump-stan alike. On the future, please try to avoid giving visibility to account names with ‘patriota’ on them.

Are we not doing phrasing anymore?

Pretty sure it was my 2CV :) bright green and tons of fun, but powerful she wasn’t.

you’re going to see repair shops shuttering and aftermarket suppliers drying up because nothing needs an exhaust or an intake.”

thats some pollyanna bullshit. the current after market has plenty of time and customers. ice cars arent going to magically disappear. so theyve got what 290 million to choose from right now? and over the next 2-4 decades as we switch if they cant come up with new useless bullshit to sell people in electric vehicles

My grandfather and his kin used to provide horse-drawn carriages, stabling services, and repairs. When the automobile came along, they had to jump over to working for one of the car manufacturers. Did they lose money? Probably. Did they survive? Yes.

Yeah, it’s a sticky issue.

Neutral: Last year my kids wanted to grow tomatoes. So I filled an entire garden bed with them. If something is worth doing, its worth over doing, amiright? Anyways turns out they don’t like tomatoes so we ended up letting the tomatoes getting super ripe and then we had ourselves a good ol tomato fight.

“Won’t somebody think of the cold air intakes?!”

They’ll sell aftermarket motors, rims, and bodywork. That’s about it.

No, no, and no. What we will lose is the current aftermarket, not the aftermarket itself. There are already aftermarket items for Teslas, not made by Tesla, and I am sure that any company worth staying alive is willing to adapt rather than die. You mention radios. Funny, most people use streaming services or stored

I have to imagine getting hold of a used military-spec jet engine isn’t easy. I’m sure in 1985 you can just go to any corner market and buy one, but here in 2021 they’re kind of rare for the non-military person.
