They don't relegate them as worse, they are just different brands with varying margins.  Ask anyone outfitting light truck fleets with tires, you're going to find that Firestone has a huge market share because the destination and transforce lines are wonderful.  Same with other manufacturers.

Yeah, this guy has no idea about the market.  Pirelli is not top tier, just expensive.  No mention of brands like Toyo or Nexen which have OE fitments.  Goodyear is a top tier brand as is Firestone, again with a number of OE tires on both lines.

I guess it’s a mediocre first start, but there are plenty of actual bicycle companies doing this better already. Not sure who’s going to buy anything HD at the moment. I actually like the brand and have ridden several models in the past, but who wants to be associated with that brand now?  CP at half the price.
