Maybe, I haven't seen everything he's done. I don't think the characters in District 9 were weak and both District 9 and Elysium deal with class structure, racism, and the role of the executive/ judiciary. Maybe I need to watch more of his stuff!

It just resonated with me because ive been discussing this topic with my neighbour a lot recently, specifically about female stand up. There are a lot more comedic female actors. AND…I haven't started watching 30 Rock yet

Maybe it's to do with the people booking the talent? There aren't many female stand ups that o find funny but that might be because I haven't been exposed to enough? Think about how many SHIT male comics there are and how many of them you actually enjoy
