There’s all manner of politicking going on of course. Most Labour MPs are personally opposed to leaving, but many are from constituencies which voted to leave and so they feel duty bound to side with their voters. On the other hand Labour’s leader, Jeremy Corbyn, sees the whole mess as a way to provoke a general

Alfa has a feature like this.  Every once in a while, the car makes you walk home.

909k F-Series sales, not F-150 sales.

The U.S. Government could just adopt the EU method of adding $5 tax to each gallon of gas. That would speed things up in EV development and adoption.

Hey, it’s less than a 1994 Toyota Supra.

The Highlander takes the top spot because obviously there can be only one.

Why should the USPS make a profit? It’s a government service. Does the Army make a profit? The Justice Department? The USPS also doesn’t get to cherry-pick its routes like UPS or Fed Ex do. Do you think that if you lived in Nome, Alaska, Fed Ex would deliver a letter for you for 50¢?

The time for economy BEV cars aren’t there yet, though I believe China will get there first. The base Tesla Model 3 is currently a few grand more than the average new car selling price (after the lower rebates), and I think the days of $35K or so BEV isn’t too far off for us.

As a former Hawai’i resident, I wanna say with all the authority I can muster skip the convertible, especially if you are from Ohio. You’ll burn to a crisp in about 2 mins. The only people who drive convertibles are tourists on day 1 and most of them look like they have sun stroke. Taco is the way to go or a minivan

Speaking of redundancy, I also throw the wheels under the car. This was a habit from working in a tiny garage, but figure it adds a decent safety gap if everything else fails. Not to mention if wheel off during a wheel swap, and car were to fall, replacing a wheel is cheaper then the alternative!

Sort of related: Google’s dictionary is horseshit. One of my most random and biggest pet peeves is that the google includes government in the definition of “politics” or “politician”.

I bought 5 more Jeeps this year - 4 xj Cherokees (two were driveable, the other two towable) and 1 J3000 pickup. I have 2 1988 RX7 convertible rotaries (1 works the other is for parts) that have been around the past 3 years or so. Then there are some others. My New Year’s wrencholution is to have 3 1999 Cherokees

Just leased a Guilia over the weekend! (Red with black interior of course)

stop 15' before an intersection

Also how bout the balls on that CRV driver just passing a cop like no big deal.

Off topic: Moments ago I saw a Bentley in a Wendy’s drive-thru.

The taillights sort of look like those from a Kia stinger, but melted.

It’s like the Barry Manilow Lindsey Graham of sports cars.

Thats the thing, as much as people say they depreciate like rocks.... if you ever try and search for one, they aren’t quite the bargain you want. Looking for an S60 T5, sure, cheap all day long.

Update: the GLA was more fun to drive than I thought it would be and had immense ability to go from 70-90. Felt more of the road than I would have liked for just being on the highway (but great for curvy roads).  The dogs were cool once I put one seat down — one got 60% of the back seat the other got the hatch and
