I can see how range would hinder people wanting an EV SUV, because an SUV is your family road trip car (load the kids, dogs, go skiing, whatever). But range limits for EV sedans is a cop out, in my opinion. Any family dropping $40k+ for an EV has a second car they can use in a pinch.

Budgets aren’t the issue.

There’s actually a very common phenomenon where people’s minds wander while they’re driving and they go into a sort of ‘autopilot.’ Have you ever pulled up in front of your house and can’t exactly recall the last few minutes of driving, or how you got there? When you spend enough time driving, it becomes so

They ran out of Jeep Gladiator articles, had to revert back to stoking Bronco flames.

Ford designers come up with an idea and rush it to the patent office so they don’t get beaten to market by someone else. Then they send it to the engineers, who laugh and say it’s not possible. Idea gets scrapped, designers start the process over again.

It’s easy to say that now, 7 years after Facebook went IPO. If their IPO was so solid, why didn’t you buy a thousand shares? When Facebook went public, nobody knew how they were going to make money. They basically invented their revenue stream; I’m not saying Lyft will do the same thing, but they can’t be ruled out.

So it’s basically an XC40 T8, being at least $5k-10k more than a fully equipped T5 Inscription. At $50k it’s more than an XC60, but it’s still cheaper than a Model X, i-Pace or e-Tron. It’s a lot more expensive than a Kona, Leaf, Bolt, etc. but I have a feeling it’ll slot in nicely with people who want a luxury EV but

I think Brad’s the one who had a meltdown, on this sentence.

Hamilton absolutely outclassed Vettel. That being said, Vettel did a fantastic job working his way back up the field to a respectable 5th after the disastrous spin.

Here’s hoping it doesn’t cost as much as a T8

What makes you so eager for the Bronco over a Wrangler?

I just finished watching Sex Education on Netflix and one of the main characters (Maeve) is basically a re-born, British Kat (albeit not as good, but still good)

Those are all examples of Quads, which is a completely different engine than the 2.0. How fair is it to compare the reliability of an entire lineup of cars to its high-performance variety, which probably accounts for less than 5% of all sales?

I love how Jalopnik absolutely shits on Alfa Romeo and then acts surprised when Alfa has a hard time moving their cars. Maybe if journalists stopped making unsubstantiated claims about them being bad cars people would actually buy more.

I sincerely hope you’re right but it would take a miracle. Paul George made it back in 8 months; start of the 2019/2020 season is in less than 7. I just hope he doesn’t lose his confidence, a la Gordon Hayward.

Oregon laughs at your ‘taxes’

How do you start at $40k and get to $45k on a car with an MSRP of $37k? They’re all over Autotrader for under MSRP. The MOST expensive WRX STI on Autotrader in a nationwide search is $44,339. The cheapest is $34,800. That’s $5k under the Golf R and Focus RS.

X6/GLE are awful but the Q8 isn’t much better. The raked roof and sleek profile on a massive SUV looks terrible. The Q8 looks like someone squished the profile and then ran it through a printer at 150%.

That’s the ticket! It’s been done for buses already.
