Before anyone leases anything, if you’re not already well versed in money factor, residual value, MSDs, etc., I highly recommend checking out LeaseHackr or the Edmunds Leasing forum to make doubly sure you’re not being taken for a ride. Leasing isn’t as simple as APR and down payments.

Cost me almost $800 to buy and mount four Blizzak DM-V2's. I can see why people would only buy two - your basic winter tire (that most shops carry) starts at $130 each. It adds up quickly. 

Throttle application doesn’t do much when your rear tires have zero grip (i.e. when they’re summer tires and you’re in snow)

Typical recommendation by all pros is chains only on the drive wheels (unless you drive a semi or a very large truck). I don’t know exactly why, but my guess is that you’re moving so slow (30 mph max) it doesn’t matter a whole lot.
