I saw that, but I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he’s wearing plugs. Just from watching the video, there’s no way in hell anybody can be that close without plugs and not lose their hearing instantly. It’s probably so loud he needs plugs and earmuffs. Those mid-6 drag cars shake your bones they’re

Before anyone leases anything, if you’re not already well versed in money factor, residual value, MSDs, etc., I highly recommend checking out LeaseHackr or the Edmunds Leasing forum to make doubly sure you’re not being taken for a ride. Leasing isn’t as simple as APR and down payments.

Yeah, but if you buy your APR would be half what their Money Factor is. And, if you plan on owning for longer than 3 years, you’ll eventually catch the depreciation curve. Which is basically the dilemma between leasing and buying...

Yeah too bad I’m not running a 225/75 R16, which is the first hit on Google. I have 20" wheels. Go find me some Blizzak DM-V2's in a 245/255 for 20" wheels around $130 and get back to me.

Volvo CPO warranty would end up roughly equal to GM.

Sorry for being picky about my $25,000 purchase.

True, but 2015-2017 has the best seats of any car of all time. Ever.

They did, new CPO program comes with 5 years from first registered date (so basically +1 year on mfr warranty), but it’s extendable up to 8. I was talking to a guy in SoCal who has a 2015 T6 for $29k and he said he’d give me the 7 year for no extra cost. A few other dealers said they’d extend for about $800/year. I

Just buy a used 2018 V60 or a certified 2017 V60. They can be had for around $27k, which is what you’ll pay for a TourX in the basic trim (cloth seats). Volvo has better interior, same power and much, much better seats. You could also go down to a 2015 or 2016 MY; I’m looking for one now and most dealers will throw in

Its not fast

A turbo 4 wagon in the mid-20s range? So, so tempting! If the interior was just a smidge nicer I’d be all over this. If only GM could figure out how to go minimalist on their interiors to save money rather than just cheap, this wagon would be selling like hotcakes.

Yes. Honesty is key. I once looked at an early-00's pathfinder that a Ford dealer was selling used. We took it out on the freeway, and anything above 60 the steering wheel would chatter incessantly. He said it was ‘because of the bigger tires.’ I took it to a Nissan mechanic who said the wheel bearings were shot. Hard

I’m not. Blizzak DM-V2's are $180 each. Discount tire charges something like $70 to mount. Thanks for looking out though!

Cost me almost $800 to buy and mount four Blizzak DM-V2's. I can see why people would only buy two - your basic winter tire (that most shops carry) starts at $130 each. It adds up quickly.

Throttle application doesn’t do much when your rear tires have zero grip (i.e. when they’re summer tires and you’re in snow)

Typical recommendation by all pros is chains only on the drive wheels (unless you drive a semi or a very large truck). I don’t know exactly why, but my guess is that you’re moving so slow (30 mph max) it doesn’t matter a whole lot.

We’re always talking about how cars are priced way above their previous models according to inflation, but what about cars that are priced well below their inflation adjusted MSRP? For example, was a 2008 Subaru Outback better value than a 2018 Subaru Outback?

To be fair, though, his response is confusing, pedantic and, well, Musk-ish. “I prefer no titles at allreally means “I’d much rather be chairman but the SEC and others in my company convinced me to let it go, so I stepped down, but I’ll be damned if anybody else is going to be chairman, so NOBODY GETS A TITLE.”

Your average consumer that watches seventeen minutes of F1 per year doesn’t give a shit about tire compounds. Your average F1 fan is already a fanatic and can tell you the exact chemical differences between C3 and C4. I think they’re just mad Pirelli didn’t make it MORE complicated so they could geek out further.
