Abarth is 100% the correct choice. My co-worker bought one and I look forward to hearing him drive away every day. It sounds incredible and nobody is expecting that tiny car to make that noise. I can only imagine how fun it is to drive.

Meh. It snows like once every four years in Oregon and nobody goes to work on those days anyway. Unless you’re driving to the mountain every weekend you don’t need AWD/4x4.
Mazdaspeed 3 are too old now and probably have rusted subframes, rear hatch and wheel wells.
...but also that the car was running on one cylinder at idle, all four only under full load.
A related and also awesome write-up on a similar Alaska road trip:
Ah, I see. Thanks for clarifying. Even if you had to do it five times to five different people...
Wait... what? Did they ask for more money if you were paying cash?
‘Saving’ your service call outs is a waste - use ‘em when you need ‘em, otherwise you’re paying for a service you’re not using. Also David just spent like $20 on Lyft for something AAA would have done for free.
AAA is a crapshoot. If they call a big service company with a good dispatch, you could be done in 15 minutes. But I’ve waited 3 hours or more before in the same city; just depends on how busy they are at that time and who they call.
I discovered this little trick flying to Boston a few weeks ago. If you stash your bag under your thighs, up against your seat, you can stretch out for days.
Unless you drive a car with an oil filter housing, then good luck getting that off without proper tools. Went to do an oil change on my ‘07 MS3 and a 30-minute job turned into a 90-minute job because I didn’t have an oil filter housing wrench. The seal makes it impossible to remove by hand. I eventually got mine off…
Not to mention the fact that the Wrangler and Camry are not even in the same class. The Wrangler is still getting beat by crossovers - including the Nissan Rogue. Repeat after me: The Wrangler is being outsold by the Nissan Rogue *shudder*
Does nobody else see the irony that Tesla is being sued by their consumers for both rolling out their autonomous technology too soon (i.e. people dying because they think it’s better than it is) and now not rolling it out fast enough?
The re-packing is never the part that holds up lines. It’s always the line to get through the scanner/metal detector or the line to drop off your stuff at the X-Ray machine. People constantly forget to take out their keys, water bottle, computer, phone, wallet, belt, etc. and have to go back through. The only way to…
2015 AMG GLA45. German, hatchback, 355 hp, located in the Bay Area. They’re pretty rare in the Bay Area - I’ve only seen one or two. Plus it’s 4matic, so you can drive it up to Tahoe and have fun in the snow too. Yeah, it’s a little ugly, but who cares. It’s practical and a blast to drive.
How did he manage to squeeze 6 miles per kWh into his range? For reference, a Tesla and Bolt are around 3-4 miles per kWh. Must be because the original Mini weighs next to nothing?
This is such small town BS. Judges, politicians and police chiefs trying to fill their coffers by shaking down the people they’re supposed to represent. I live in Palo Alto and I had our Subuaru up on jack stands for a week in my friend’s uncovered driveway, in plain sight. Not a single person complained. And that’s…
It rained for about 3 minutes here in Palo Alto today. Pretty dismal.
OK no, disagree, comparing a MB AMG to a Porsche is not the same as a Dodge to a Ferrari. I get what you’re saying, though.
100% agreed. AMG E63 S Wagon starts at $107k and you get the 600 hp V8 instead of a pedestrian V6. So you get more power for less money in a much better looking car. Someone on Porsche is smoking crack.
