Does nobody else see the irony that Tesla is being sued by their consumers for both rolling out their autonomous technology too soon (i.e. people dying because they think it’s better than it is) and now not rolling it out fast enough?

The re-packing is never the part that holds up lines. It’s always the line to get through the scanner/metal detector or the line to drop off your stuff at the X-Ray machine. People constantly forget to take out their keys, water bottle, computer, phone, wallet, belt, etc. and have to go back through. The only way to

2015 AMG GLA45. German, hatchback, 355 hp, located in the Bay Area. They’re pretty rare in the Bay Area - I’ve only seen one or two. Plus it’s 4matic, so you can drive it up to Tahoe and have fun in the snow too. Yeah, it’s a little ugly, but who cares. It’s practical and a blast to drive.

How did he manage to squeeze 6 miles per kWh into his range? For reference, a Tesla and Bolt are around 3-4 miles per kWh. Must be because the original Mini weighs next to nothing?

This is such small town BS. Judges, politicians and police chiefs trying to fill their coffers by shaking down the people they’re supposed to represent. I live in Palo Alto and I had our Subuaru up on jack stands for a week in my friend’s uncovered driveway, in plain sight. Not a single person complained. And that’s

It rained for about 3 minutes here in Palo Alto today. Pretty dismal.

Give it a few years, they’re sure to hit Groupon when the customer base starts running low.

OK no, disagree, comparing a MB AMG to a Porsche is not the same as a Dodge to a Ferrari. I get what you’re saying, though.

100% agreed. AMG E63 S Wagon starts at $107k and you get the 600 hp V8 instead of a pedestrian V6. So you get more power for less money in a much better looking car. Someone on Porsche is smoking crack.

Ignore the authors and buy a hatchback. It’s the second best car for dogs (behind a wagon) and is still fun to drive. I’d recommend a Mazdaspeed3. They only come in stick, are insanely fun to drive, and I guarantee it’s unique - lots of people have 3's, but very few have Speeds. Here’s a 2011 in San Antonio for $14k

Thank you for proposing a hatch. Clearly none of the authors have owned a sedan and a dog. Anybody else riding in your car will hate the fact that your seats are forever covered in dog hair or you’ll end up hating yourself for putting in/taking out a seat cover every time you haul your dog. Hatchbacks or wagons are

None of the above. California drivers (especially SoCal in particular) are just horrible at driving. Anything that’s not a flat, long freeway scares the jebus out of them.

You mean the TI-84? I remember Block Dude on the TI-83.

Alaska flights at San Jose and PDX regularly deplane from the rear.

Good point. Daily driving with transmissions in Sport is awful; I tried it in a loaner Mazda6 recently and it would only shift about 500 rpm from the redline. Very annoying unless you’re actually accelerating.

How else is he supposed to raise funding for the C-1?

Missing the driver’s meeting will actually hurt the race organizer, because I’m sure their own rules say he shouldn’t have been allowed to ride.

Leaving a sandbag off the track isn’t gross negligence. It’s not smart, but a reasonable person would assume that running off the track on a motorcycle at any track is going to cause injury, sandbag or not. A hazard on the track is 100% different than off.

The bar-headed goose is actually the second ultimate bird - runner up to Ruppell’s Vulture, which has been confirmed at 37k feet.

This makes me miss Late Night with Conan.
