Except in some very, very rare circumstances where someone hits a bridge with no guardrail

Newsflash: Tunnel built below water table is surrounded by water.

Is the source link also missing? Wanted to check out the rest of the pictures without having to play go-fish on Google.

It’s the vehicle number in that fleet. I.e. Jim-Bob and Jerry are assigned to car 4110 today... This is car 4110 reporting a Code 187... Car 4110 is due for an oil change... It’s just so you can distinguish between cars of the same model and year in the fleet.

What do you propose? Hiring a security detail to protect the police from its citizens? Building a 10-foot concrete wall to keep citizens out? I agree there’s some hostility towards police (especially after Dallas in 2016) but further separating them from the citizens THEY SERVE just seems like throwing fuel on the

A quick check on Google maps confirms that the Central Station parking lot is indeed surrounded by fence (334 S Hall St. Dallas, TX 75226). Though it’s not barbed and doesn’t look very intimidating, you certainly can’t “walk the fuck around it.”

I’ve never actually seen anyone write ‘There’re’. Kudos for being my first, Rob.

Every single O’Reilly store using dot matrix printers for their receipts up until about three years ago.

I kinda wanted a Stinger GT before the review and after today I really, really want one. I told my friend at work and he laughed and said he’d never spend $50k on a Kia. Should I still get one? When everybody laughs at me, will it still be worth it?

Went to Kia’s website to price up what I would want in a Stinger... Looks like Kia also needs to hire one of ze German’s ad people. Who thought Steven Tyler was a good idea?

Yeah I meant new for the 718. I knew the previous gen had Spyder trim, but to me ‘Spyder’ has always just meant ‘open top’ (like what Lamborghini does). ‘718 Boxster Spyder’ seemed redundant because the Boxster IS the open top version of the 718. But I guess to Porsche ‘Spyder’ means ‘GT version of our open top car.’

Because it looks better on paper to say ‘30 MPG’ when you don’t also have to include ‘(*91 Octane)’

Doesn’t Porsche just call it the ‘718 Boxster’ now (no Spyder)? The Boxster is the convertible and the Cayman is the coupe. They don’t say ‘Spyder’ on their website anymore because you can’t buy the 718 Boxster in a coupe, only convertible.

David, when shifting in your J10, do you also make imaginary engine noises? You know, because it doesn’t run...

The most amazing part is that Congress is going on another fucking retreat. According to their calendar, they’re supposed to be in session until January 19th. The only bi-partisan deal these idiots can agree on is that they should only work 50% of the year. Fuck every single one of them.

Nope, the Regal sedan starts at $27k and the wagon at $29k. It IS a good deal, considering how much better Buick’s interiors have gotten.

I sincerely hope the Buick is better, just for the sake of competition in the wagon sector. Volvo’s cars have become so ridiculously overpriced. I’ll be in the market for a new car in about a year and look forward to testing out the Buick.

Oh okay so you’re like the rest of us - need a wagon with 250+ HP, preferably AWD, no CVT, not terrible inside, reliable and under $30k. Ford should bring the Fusion Wagon (Mondeo in the EU) with an ST trim to the US. That would be amazing.

This won’t really compete with the Buick. Volvo still sells the V60, which you can get in a T5 AWD configuration starting at $40k. That’s a step up from the VW/Subaru/Buick crowd and competing directly with Audi/BMW. The V90 is aimed above that, at the Merc E400. Agreed it probably won’t sell much, but how many E400's

The Buick starts at (barely) under $30k and the Outback 2.5i is $26k.
