I don’t think scary is the right word. For me it was just this slow burn of dread, I knew something bad was happening but the buildup was the story. Then fifteen minutes of comical vengeance. It’s good fun and I also don’t drink tea anymore!

It’s not a scary movie in like, a monster-movie sense, more like a psychological thriller. The ending has a bit more of the violence one might expect in a horror movie, though.

I wouldn’t classify it as a horror movie, it’s more of a psychological thriller. Anyway, I enjoyed it and I don’t like horror movies either.

If only the sketch of the Mobile, AL leprechaun were as fruitful...

my fav brody jenner era. Look at that coordination...what a power couple.

That’s what kills me. She really thinks describing how terrified her pet was before she killed it is going to make people feel bad for HER.

And even if they did, so fucking what? Someone suggesting you should behave an abominably cruel manner doesn’t give you an excuse to do it.

What’s insane is that she must have called the paper with the story. How did she not realize that this made her look like a monster?

Right?! Airlines are awful, but I seriously can’t fathom anyone in their right mind suggesting this woman kill her pet.

This story is as baffling as it is horrifying. This woman, by her own admission, chose to cruelly kill her pet. But she claims someone else suggested that she do it, and she feels really bad about it, so she’s certain she’s the real victim here.

Yeah no, this is not on Spirit. This woman has something seriously wrong with her if she actually flushed a living creature down a toilet, there were many, many other options. Jesus fucking christ.

I just looked up his age and now I’m shocked, too. That means he was 24 when they filmed “Get Out”? And he already had the maturity as an actor to play all the mannerisms of an elderly white man and nail it? His physicality was phenomenal!

This is nice. It’s nice to just see regular movies about regular Black people. Or quirky movies about regular Black people. I get the need to tell history, but sometimes you just want to watch something artsy or romantic or modern (that doesn’t feature an all-white cast), and not another gut-wrenching portrayal of

When I worked retail as a teen/young adult. All the stay at home mom’s that would come in and shop mid day would be so surprised I attend their alma mater or like the same tv shows or stores they do, when ever they make small talk with me. Like the concept that I’m a person outside of a POC doing a service job shocked

The real-life subtext was clear and yet, for her, convenient to overlook.

As a Bay Area resident I’ve gone to the Winchester Mystery House maybe half a dozen times; it’s a phenomenal visit if you get the chance. I’m completely on board with the theory that Swift’s building an East Coast version.

So it was more than a little bit jarring to hear no mention of the plight of the woman—who remains on the streets without a lifeline—and instead see journalists and politicians praise the selflessness of the couple,

I was uncomfortable with the way this segment of the speech was presented, and you have articulated it well. For a moment I thought the child’s mother was going to be shown in the gallery as an example of recovery, but instead we are shown some weird support for class warfare. It hurts.

Or how about the way he went about it. I mean, really, it sounds like it was kind of a threat almost. I mean, this whole thing, regardless of what good there is in it, is stained with some pretty vicious attitudes.

He can read his name and shit.
