Now playing

Yeah, I still just see it as weird to force a comedy show to be accountable to any demographic. Like Lindy complains about black men dressing as women for laughs, like there should have been black women playing those bits. Ever seen Kids In The Hall? Monty Python? It's pretty classic humor to have men play women,

I am aware of this, however the logic of the joke is flawed.

Agreed, but I don't think that's the point of the article, which is why I made the point that I did.

Okay, a) you can't rewrite history. So, the notion that you're going to have 7 black women in a cast of 10 to "even things up" over the entire course of the show's history is nutty.

agreed. don't understand why that was thumbsed-up. people are great, they are amazing, and the fact that we are able to use math and logic means we are great.

and in no way was I defending "but the white people"? I was simply stating facts that counter the notion of hiring a surplus of black women when there are other races to also represent.

I believe you're taking my point backward. The point would be that we'd need to include more Latinos and Asians (at least one per cast, and half the cast should be women) if we're going to hold SNL accountable to reflecting the demographic of America. Which, by the way, they have no obligation to do.

I'm not saying there shouldn't be black women, however a) there is just no obligation whatsoever that a TV show has to have whatever number of sex/race people on it, and b) what about Latinos, which make up more of America than blacks? Why is there a focus on black women? So, I'm just saying if the argument is (and

I wasn't bringing up math like "it's the end all be all" I was just stating facts because the notion that they need to hire several black women is flawed if SNL is supposed to be representing America (which, they actually have no obligation to do)

I am in agreement with you.

Of the 313 million Americans, only 20 million of them are black women. Which is 7% of America. There are 10 repertory players at a time on SNL. Therefore, having one black woman is more than an accurate representation of their demographic.

what's the world series?

actually out of 330+million people, that's really nothing. the city I live in has twice that population, and that's like, the exact city limits, let alone sprawl. so yeah... I sincerely don't know anyone who watches that show and I doubt you do either.

Hey Edward... there is no "God"! hahahahaaaaaa

LMAO!

I've long thought Colton would be what I'd call a kid if I'd had one, but now the name Arlo gives me pause. I really dig that.

Right on Laura, I posted up Stephanie Says when he passed too. </3

LMAO nice one!

yes, and 5 years on the internet is equivalent to decades IRL.
